🧭 The TRUECHART+ UI

TRUECHART+ introduces a redesigned user interface focused on usability, consistency, and clarity. This guide explains the core layout and how to navigate the updated experience,

Differences in Qlik and PowerBI are noted where applicable

Main Layout Structure

🔳 Left Navigation Panel

The primary way to navigate between TRUECHART+ modules:

Visual Editor: Access the active visual’s layout and preview
Dimensions: Configure dimensions
Measures: Configure measures
Cell: Adjust formatting and behavior for the selected cell (advanced)
Settings: Visual style (Notation Manual, Input Groups and Multi Endpoint
User Guides: Quick access to documentation and help links

This layout is consistent across platforms.

📐 Preview

The central area displays a live preview of your visual or specific Cell. Any changes made in the configuration panels are reflected immediately.

📍 Data Panel ( only)

In the Qlik extension, the right-hand panel labeled DATA allows quick access to core visual setup.

Users can add the data required from within the TRUECHART+ UI - allowing them to add data on a “per cell” basis

Dimensions: Add one or more fields to define the rows or categories in your visual
Measures: Add numerical values or calculated fields for aggregation

Fields can be removed or reordered with the trash and drag icons.

🔧 Dimensions and Measures Configuration

📊 Dimensions

Define the structure of your data (e.g., product, region, date).
Accessible via the Dimensions tab in the left panel.

📈 Measures

Define what you want to measure or calculate (e.g., sales, profit).
Accessible via the Measures tab in the left panel.
Each measure can be assigned an aggregation function such as Sum, Avg, etc.

🧑‍💻 Basic and Advanced Modes

To accommodate different skill levels, TRUECHART+ offers two interface modes:

Basic: Shows only essential settings and logic
Advanced: Reveals full configuration options, including cell-level and behavior settings

Mode switching is available at all times when configuring Dimensions and Measures

📄 Quick Access to Documentation

Throughout the UI, you'll find:

Tooltips next to settings and fields
“Need Help?” links that direct you to relevant wiki or help pages

These are embedded contextually to avoid breaking your workflow.

🧱Visual Editor

Used to define the cells and what content they hold (Titles, Subtitles, Tables) .

Note that the default cell is currently a Table
