Document settings

The Document Settings are relevant for the whole document and not for current user settings.

Document (general settings)

General document settings can be accessed through right click menu Overall > Document.

  • Allow user specific: With the check box Allow user specific you can decide if user individual settings (My settings) setups have priority over the overall document settings. If so, each user can specify individual values for current document.

  • Mode: Choose between Design or Presentation to activate initial commenting functions or not:

    • Design: show TRUECHART initially in 'design mode' to activate the edit mode of TRUECHART which allows commenting (corresponding right-click menu element: Edit Text)

    • Presentation: show TRUECHART initially in 'show mode' to deactivate the edit mode of TRUECHART which shows comments readonly and does not allow commenting (corresponding right-click menu element: Show Text)

  • Show unlicensed: Choose if unlicensed objects are shown. They will be displayed with error messages in this case.

  • Default: Choose the application language to localize the user interface texts to German or English.

  • Date Format: Set up the preferred Date Format to be used within the app

  • Update timeout: Give an timeout in seconds, to delay the painting of TRUECHART visualisation.

  • Rename common tables: If this option is enabled, all common tables (editable tables) used in the current document will be renamed with the specified suffix when the app is published (TRUECHART for Qlik Sense only). In this way it is possible to handle comments in development versions of the app differently from productive comments in published apps.

  • Paste without format: If active, all text will be cleaned up during copy & paste (e.g. form office products like Excel, Word or Outlook).

Numbers

Here you can set up all relevant settings regarding numbers and the presentation style of numbers and units like the positions and the separators.

Scaling groups

Decide whether you want automatic or manual scaling for all the scaling groups used in this document. In the section scaling helper it’s possible to define further specifications regarding the scaling.

My settings (User settings)

User specific document settings can be accessed through right click menu Overall > My settings.

In My Settings it is possible to set up general settings for the design and presentation within the application. Important: These settings are just relevant for the current user!

  • Default: Choose the application language to localize the user interface texts to German or English.

  • Date Format: Set up the preferred Date Format to be used within the app

In Numbers and Scaling groups you can decide which separators (decimals, thousands) will be used within the app and if the different scaling groups are calculated manually.
